Murray & Lyn were both born and grew up in the Central Otago & Dunedin area and are both 5th generation New Zealander's. Our farming families arrived in the south of New Zealand from the United Kingdom in the mid 1850's after a long three month sea voyage - true pioneers! (In fact Lyn's Great Great Grandmother bought with her a piano, which is reputed to be the first bought in to the province of Southland, where they eventually settled). And so - you can hear some stories here!
We purchased Wanaka Springs Lodge in the winter of 2003. Wanaka had previously been one of our favourite holiday playgrounds, just like we hope it will become a favourite memory of yours!

Today we take immense pleasure in our role as your lodge hosts. Our guests connect us to the world and in return, we make it our mission to introduce you to the best our region has to offer. There are lots of interesting artefacts around the lodge and some interesting historic photos - everything is a talking point here, with no questions out of bounds! If you are at all curious about New Zealander's and the New Zealand way of life, we hope that as well as enjoying our spectacular outdoors, you will leave us having gained a deeper and more meaningful experience of our culture and of our country - and that you have indeed had 'a delightfully Kiwi experience'!
